80 years ago, Levinson Axelrod, P.A. began as a two-man outfit out of Perth Amboy. A lot has changed since then. Levinson Axelrod’s office in the borough of Flemington serves residents throughout Hunterdon County – from the Amwell Valley to the Hunterdon Plateau. The borough is relatively small, home to just under 5,000 people, but it serves as the county seat of Hunterdon County.
Hunterdon County has one of the lower accident rates out of all New Jersey counties, owing in part to its size. In 2014, there were 4,276 traffic crashes. Not much has changed in the past 15 years. In 2000, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation, total annual accidents were 3,938.

Flemington Circle
Flemington is home to three traffic circles, the largest of which is Flemington Circle. Recent improvements to the Flemington Circle have stalled traffic, due to construction. It also poses an increased risk of accidents due to congestion and irregular traffic patterns. The changes are necessary though, according to the Department of Transportation. When announcing their proposed work to the circle, the DOT said, “There is an important need for safety improvements at the Flemington Circle due to the extremely high number of crashes on an annual basis.”
