Partner Patrick Flinn recently reached a $500,000 settlement for the estate of an injured worker who suffered a knee injury in the course of his employment.

As court records indicate, Patrick’s client was working as a home appliance repair man when he fell through a poorly constructed set of stairs in a customer’s home. He suffered an ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) tear due to the fall and was ultimately recommended to undergo a knee replacement surgery. Patrick’s client subsequently underwent a weight loss surgery to qualify for the knee replacement, but tragically passed away due to complications from the weight loss procedure.

Through negotiations with the defendant’s insurer, Patrick was ultimately able to obtain a full policy limits settlement totaling $500,000.
