On February 11, 2022, Levinson Axelrod, P.A. Shareholder and Partner Adam L. Rothenberg secured a nearly $1 million verdict for a client who was a struck by a vehicle.
As court records show, Adam’s client was a pedestrian with her husband and was hit by a private passenger vehicle while in a crosswalk. She suffered a closed head injury, fractured tibial plateau, and neck and back injuries.
While the plaintiff did not undergo surgical treatment for her injuries, she continues to suffer symptoms resulting from her head trauma, including reductions in memory, decision making, and verbal fluency. Additionally, her knee continues to affect her ability to walk and participate in normal activities.
At trial, the Middlesex County jury deliberated for nearly 12 hours before delivering a verdict the plaintiff’s favor for a $875,000 with interest for a total judgment of $997,667. Mr. Rothenberg stated that the verdict means his client will receive close to four times what the defense offered during litigation. More importantly, the client is being compensated for her injuries in a way that helps make her whole.
