At Levinson Axelrod, we have long understood the role that we play in the communities in which we live and practice. Along with the practice of law, we believe that we have an ongoing responsibility to do our part in supporting the communities in which we live and work. As a result, we look to support local charities and organizations in their attempts to help others. As part of doing so, we also hope to bring much-needed attention to these worthy causes.
Levinson Axelrod proudly supports the Lydia Amputees Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to help victims of amputation, regardless of the cause. Every year, thousands of people suffer traumatic and medically necessitated amputations. The Lydia Amputees Foundation works to provide financial and emotional support for victims of amputation, while likewise working to provide prosthetic devices to those who need them. We are proud to have served as both a sponsor and participant in this year’s Lydia Foundation Annual 5k Walk for Amputees. Now in its fourth year, the Foundations Annual 5k Walk is held to commemorate and raise awareness about amputees and their often silent struggles in navigating a world that all too often lacks resources, support, and accommodations for people with different abilities.
Having sponsored and participated in this event in the past, as well as having a partner of the law firm who is a member of the Board of this wonderful organization, our team was proud to once again be part of this year’s event which was held on April 20th at Alvin P. Williams Park in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
