A Delaware / New Jersey laborer who became totally disabled in a workplace accident will receive benefits for life following a negotiated settlement reached by Levinson Axelrod, P.A. Partner Rich Marcolus with the Delaware River and Bay Authority.
As case records show, the workers’ compensation settlement was secured after Marcolus pursued an application for the New Jersey Second Injury Fund and successfully convinced the Deputy Attorney General and insurance company that his client was totally and permanent disabled. The Second Injury Fund assumes liability for benefits attributable to prior injuries when a worker subsequently becomes totally disabled because of a workplace injury.
Thanks to Rich’s efforts, his client will receive $650 per week for life, plus medical benefits.
Rich Marcolus is a Partner at Levinson Axelrod, P.A.
