A law enforcement officer will receive over $300,000 in connection to a settlement negotiated by Levinson Axelrod, P.A. Partner Rich Marcolus.
As case records show, Rich represented a New Jersey law enforcement officer who was injured while chasing a suspect. Due to his injuries, the officer underwent a hip replacement surgery and neck surgery. Given the severity of his injuries, Rich was able to negotiate a six-figure settlement for the officer.
Our team at Levinson Axelrod, P.A. has extensive experience handling workers’ compensation cases involving police, firefighters, and other first responders, who like other workers at covered employers, are entitled to benefits when they are injured in the course of their employment. Rich Marcolus and our team also led the charge in advocating for important legislation that protects police and other first responders and handling some of the state’s first workers’ compensation cases involving first responders and law enforcement who contracted COVID-19 on the job.
Rich Marcolus is a Partner at Levinson Axelrod, P.A. and a Workers’ Compensation Specialist certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court. Rich leverages his legal expertise and own experience as someone who once made his living as a carpenter in construction to help workers statewide pursue needed benefits following work-related accidents.
