Last month, Levinson Axelrod, P.A. Attorney Kelley Lavery secured a quarter-million-dollar settlement for a client who was rear-ended in Union Township, NJ.
According to case records, Kelley’s client was a 37-year-old mother of two who was struck from behind while in her vehicle by a motorist who failed to stop at a stop sign on County Road 579 in Hunterdon County. The incident occurred in summer of 2019.
From the accident scene, Kelley’s client was transported to the emergency department of a local hospital, where she presented with a headache and pain in her left shoulder and neck. After she was treated and released from the emergency room, she continued to experience neck and shoulder pain that eventually progressed to her lower back.
Our client was subsequently diagnosed with two herniated discs in her cervical spine (neck) and one herniated disc in her low back. She received pain management care for her neck and back that included approximately nine epidural injections.
Noting the significant pain and suffering suffered by his client, her medical expenses, and the permanency of her injuries, Kelley was able to tender a $250,000 with the at-fault motorist’s insurance company.
Kelley Lavery is a Levinson Axelrod, P.A.
