In March, Levinson Axelrod, P.A. Partner Brett Greiner secured a $250,000 policy limits settlement for a client who was injured in a pedestrian accident.
As case records indicate, the Plaintiff had been crossing the street at night and was waiting for a vehicle to pass from one direction when her foot was struck by a vehicle coming from the other direction. As a result of the impact, the Plaintiff suffered a broken ankle.
Following the accident, the Defendant claimed that the Plaintiff was crossing where there was no crosswalk and that the Plaintiff was wearing dark clothing which made it difficult for vehicles to see her at night. Despite these claims from the defense, Brett was able to negotiate a pre-trial settlement for the limits of the defendant’s insurance policy. The sizable $250,000 recovery will help compensate the Plaintiff for her medical expenses, pain and suffering, and other damages.
