Levinson Axelrod, P.A. is pleased to announce that Partner Richard J. Marcolus has been named to Monmouth County’s Top Lawyers 2021 as published by Monmouth Health and Life magazine! Rich was recognized in the Workers’ Compensation category.
To create its Top Lawyers list, Monmouth Health and Life worked with Professional Research Services (PRS) to conduct peer-review surveys of hundreds of active lawyers across the county. Surveyed attorneys were asked to select peers whom they deem as the “best” within 30 different specialties, and whom they would entrust with a case should they have legal needs of their own.
Given that the Top Lawyers list is based solely on an attorney’s standing among their peers, selection to the final list says a lot about the respect attorneys have earned in their areas of practice.
About Rich Marcolus
Rich Marcolus is a New Jersey Supreme Court Certified Workers’ Compensation Lawyer who has spent decades fighting for injured workers and families across the state.
As a former carpenter and member of NRCC Carpenters Local #253 Union, to which he still belongs today, Rich knows what it’s like to make a living in the trades and has seen first-hand how work-related injuries can profoundly affect the lives of workers and their families. In addition to fighting for clients who come to Levinson Axelrod following job-related injuries, Rich regularly lobbies state and federal lawmakers in support of legislation that protects workers’ rights and expands access to needed benefits.
Rich and our team have also led the way in handling some of New Jersey’s first workers’ compensation cases involving occupational exposure to COVID-19. Last fall, he secured what may have been the first court order in the state to award benefits to an essential worker who had been diagnosed with COVID.
