Levinson Axelrod, P.A. Managing Partner Mark Kuminski secured a $250,000 policy limits settlement for a victim injured in a motor vehicle collision.
Mark represented a local woman who was involved in a collision that occurred when an oncoming car attempted to make a left-hand turn into her path of travel. As a result of the accident, she suffered a fractured wrist which required her to undergo surgery.
In April, Mark was able to successfully settle for the defendants’ insurance policy limits of $250,000. The remaining portion of the case will continue to proceed under the underinsured motorist portion of our client’s automobile insurance policy.
While this is not the final resolution of the case, it is a substantial part of the recovery that will help cover our client’s medical expenses, lost earnings, and pain and suffering. The case also highlights the importance of carrying UM / UIM coverage, which can allow victims to seek additional monies after they suffer serious injuries and considerable damages that exceed the policy limits of at-fault drivers.
Managing Partner Mark V. Kuminski has been with Levinson Axelrod, P.A. his entire legal career. A Certified Civil Trial Specialist by the New Jersey Supreme Court, Mr. Kuminski has recovered millions in verdicts and settlements in claims involving auto accidents, construction site accidents, premises liability, and serious personal injury.
