Levinson Axelrod, P.A. is pleased to announce that our New Jersey personal injury lawyers secured four of the Top 100 largest verdicts in New Jersey in 2019 as reported by TopVerdict™, a service that reports on the largest verdicts and settlements in each state. TopVerdict’s annual lists include cases of all types tried in state and federal courts, and are compiled based on verified court records.

Our firm’s verdicts included in the Top 100 Verdicts list include:

  1. $3.225 million (Slip & Fall): Partner Kimberly L. Gozsa secured a $3,225,580 verdict from a Monmouth County jury on behalf of a client who suffered a hip fracture in a slip and fall accident at an outlet shopping plaza in Jackson, NJ. The result was the 13th largest verdict in the state of New Jersey in 2019. (Cook-Stubbs v. Cpg Partners L.P., LLC, et al.).
  2. $626,300 (Car Accident): Partner Michael B. Fusco recovered a $626,300 verdict, the 48th largest verdict in 2019, from a Middlesex County jury for an Edison man who suffered injuries in a motor vehicle collision. Our client was offered $75,000 by the defendant’s insurance carrier. (Catena v. Borrelli).
  3. $600,000 (Medical Malpractice): Partner Adam L. Rothenberg secured the 49th largest verdict in New Jersey in 2019 when his client was awarded $600,000 in damages over a surgical error (Rodriguez v. Swaminathan).
  4. $160,000 (Car Accident): Managing Partner Mark V. Kuminski recovered the 79th largest verdict in New Jersey in 2019 by securing a $160,000 jury award for a client injured in a motor vehicle accident. (Tepedino v. Allstate New Jersey Property, et al.).

In addition to winning several of the state’s largest verdicts last year, our team also secured two of the Top 100 settlements in 2019. That includes a $200,000 car accident settlement obtained by Partner Michael B. Fusco, and a $175,000 car accident settlement obtained by Attorney Kathleen M. DiGiovanni.
