Several members of the Levinson Axelrod, P.A. legal team recently lent their time and insight to lead a group of high-achieving high school students through a mock trial as part of Youth Leadership Somerset’s Mock Trial Day.
Firm Attorneys Jessica Bland, Michael Colacci, Brian Riehl, Chase Mathis, and Erin Kolodziejczyk graciously volunteered to help instruct students on litigation tactics and legal concepts during the mock trial in Somerville, New Jersey. The trial involved a fact pattern created by the organizers that changes year to year, based upon themes from current events.
The Somerset Mock Trial competition brings together a group of Somerset County’s best and brightest student leaders, who use what they’ve learned during a 9-month leadership program to assume roles in a hypothetical case, collaborate on strategies for each side, and conduct a realistic trial proceeding.
