Levinson Axelrod, P.A. Partner Brett R. Greiner recently secured a $650,000 settlement for an HVAC technician who was injured while servicing a customer’s home. The six-figure case result was obtained during a pre-trial conference.
About the Case
As court records show, our client was an HVAC technician who had been responding to a service call at a customer’s home in New Jersey at the time of the accident.
After retrieving his tools and walking back toward the home in the customer’s driveway, the HVAC tech slipped on black ice and injured his back. Unaware of the extent of his injuries, he continued to complete the service call and finished the remainder of his day.
The following morning, our client awoke to discover he was in a great deal of pain. He sought treatment at the Emergency Room, and was subsequently treated under the care of an orthopedic surgeon. He was ultimately advised to undergo a discectomy (a surgical procedure in which part of a spinal disc is removed) to address injuries caused during the fall.
A New Jersey Supreme Court Certified Civil Trial Attorney, Brett was able to leverage his expertise in personal injury litigation to negotiate an out-of-court settlement for $650,000 during a pre-trial conference. The settlement will provide needed compensation to cover our client’s medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering.
