Here at Levinson Axelrod, we understand and appreciate how fortunate we are. We likewise know that we owe a great deal of our success to the support that we have received from the communities in which we practice. As a result, we strongly believe in the importance of giving back and doing our best to help support local charities and organizations. In doing so, we also hope to bring much-needed attention to their worthy causes.

Levinson Axelrod was recently fortunate to participate in a program called the Great Bike Giveaway, which was created by Friendship Circle, a non-profit organization that provides programs and support to families of individuals with special needs. For children with special needs, bicycle riding is far more than just a recreational experience. Bicycle riding offers children with special needs an opportunity to participate in activities that provide them with independence, mobility, and much-needed exercise, all in an inclusive atmosphere. Many individuals, however, require specially adapted bicycles in order to be able to participate in these activities. The Great Bike Giveaway provides individuals and businesses with an opportunity to provide financial support for the purchase of adaptive bicycles for children and teens whose families might not otherwise be able to afford them.

Our law firm was recently notified of two students at the Mercer Elementary School, who were participating in the Great Bicycle Give Away. As part of the Mercer County Special Services School District, the Mercer Elementary School of Hamilton, New Jersey, “provides education and therapeutic services to students with a wide range of disabilities, including Autism, Emotional Regulation Impairment, and severe cognitive and physical deficits.” As part of our community outreach efforts, Levinson Axelrod was able to provide financial support in order to help these two students reach their financial goals to successfully purchase adaptive bicycles that meet their unique needs.

We are pleased that we were able to participate in such a worthy endeavor. We hope that our support for this and other causes inspires individuals to look for opportunities where they may be of assistance to others. To the extent that you are in a position to do so, we encourage others to support the individuals and charities of their choice.
